Overview

We have a 15-day return policy, which means you have 15 days (21 days during Xmas/ New Year holiday period for US & Canada) after receiving your item to return it.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt of goods at contactsales@solarrefrigerator.com. If your return is accepted, you will need to arrange the return at your own expense, and we will send you instructions on how and where to send it. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We strongly recommend you DO NOT ACCEPT any goods received with transit damage as this will very likely invalidate any transit insurance and freight claims. In these circumstances, Solar Refrigerator Company will not be liable for the cost of the goods or shipping charges paid. So, DO NOT ACCEPT ORDERS THAT ARRIVE DAMAGED. Reject them and instruct the delivery driver to return it to the delivery terminal. Also make sure, you indicate on the delivery note, IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES the state of the goods on receipt (DO NOT JUST SIGN FOR IT, WITHOUT INSPECTION). The only exception is when this may not be possible for deliveries by USPS of local post offices, in which case report the damage to Solar Refrigerator Company within 48 hours of receipt by emailing us at contactsales@solarrefrigerator.com.

Exceptions / non-returnable & non-refundable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned or refunded, like  ‘parts’ &/ ‘accessories’, items (including charge controllers, compressors, electronic units, refrigerator drawers, adapters etc), ALL SALVAGE GOODS and custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Products within this list that are damaged or have issues on receipt, can only be replaced on receipt on the damaged item after inspected. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

NB. ALL SALVAGE GOODS WILL COME WITH A LIMITED 30 DAY WARRANTY BASED ONLY ON THE CONDITION IN WHICH THEY WERE SOLD.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, gift cards OR SALVAGE GOODS.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 72 hours. We apply a 25% restocking fee for all refunds due to cancelled orders after 48 hours of the order been placed unless cancelations are to purchase item (s) of greater value and your order has not shipped. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. All refunds processed by credit or debit cards will be subject to a non-refundable credit card processing fee levied directly by our credit card merchant processing company. This will be between 3.5- 5.5% of the total value of the full payment, depending on the payment method used. This policy applies whether or not an order is fulfilled initially or not. Hence, we advice all customers must ensure they have all questions addressed by the company before placing an order. Finally, when products are on sale (products reduced in price or with orders that have discount coupons over $40 applied) / back ordered, delivery times can take between 2 – 8 weeks. Please contact us prior to placing your order for the most up to date delivery times. All customers must take this into consideration before ordering and requesting a cancelation as restocking fees will apply within 8 week periods of the ordering date if a cancelation is requested and authorized.

Admin Fees on SALVAGE GOODS are NON-REFUNDABLE.
